I have been too busy to post- we sailed through integration testing but hit a snag with website preparedness.
SAP stepped up and dedicated staff to fix bugs- the patch we received did not do the trick and we are now waiting for another patch.
It's all about WCEM3 at this point. We are almost ready to go live but still have so much work to do.
We pushed go live out by 2 weeks, and still people are starting to panic that we don't have enough time.
I keep pushing for the goal!

PB3 Almost Complete
Great week- still have financial close on Monday which will officially end PB3.
Very tense times. We did a good job but also know there is much to do.

Week 20
We are prepping for playback 3. All is on time and on budget at this point. My biggest surprise has been how as project sponsor I spend so much of my time listening to complaints and coaching people on how to work together as a team.

PB2
We completed play back 2 last week. It was a huge success. We are still on track. We have 5 consulting groups on the project and all of them seem committed to getting this done on time and on budget.
Amazing week. I was really proud of my team. They drove the demos and really pushed to get what ever they need to make sure thier sessions were a success.

Change Orders- Learnings
One thing I have learned in a project of this size, instead of just creating a 7% contingency into the bottom line of the overall budget I should also have anticipated perhaps a 5% change order contingency directly related to each SOW.

Prepping for PB2
We had a team building event last night and it went well. We are a week away from PB2 and tensions are high. I am dealing daily with concerns about consultants, requirements and increased costs. That said, we are still within our budget (while using contingency funds).

SAP Implementation
I am in the middle of an SAP implementation project. Week 13 of a 33 week accelerated roll out. I started this blog as a diary on another site because I wanted total anonymity but that site is not available so I will start over today.
We are right on track with timeline and budget. We went through Blue Printing and then Design Doc sign off. Now we are in PB1. Day 2 was very successful.
